It is generally claimed that we live in the information era. At Estèlligence we go one step forward and prefer a claim that 21st century is the century of knowledge, which is created by information together with experience, skills and practice (more about knowledge and processes connected to it you will learn from other parts of our service).

Let’s briefly analyse a short analysis of potential of our methodology, taking as an example our client – company creating a project LevelEleven – a chain of retail shops.

Gathering of data is the first step in every well planed enterprise. Creators of the project gathered series of data – historical level of average wages in large cities in Poland together with future forecasts, average margins of retail shops in Warsaw, and also profitability of retail companies quoted on Warsaw Stock Exchange.

This data in the context of their idea of setting up a chain of shops selling a certain type of luxury goods were showing (i.e. were creating information) that there exists in Poland a demographic group that could be interested in such products. Confrontation of this information with experience and skills of the creators led to a conclusion (or creating knowledge) that there exists on the Polish market a niche that can be exploited.

The next stage was definition of strategy, thanks to which exploitation was possible. This included definition of the target segment, pricing model, methods of obtaining financing for the venture as well as identification of the most effective ways of putting them to work.

It is only after completion of these stages the creators of the project were able to commence activities, i.e. start implementing the strategy: negotiate rental of the retail space, purchasing of the goods and hiring of the workforce.
